Erick Funcke, D.V.M.
Universidad Alas Peruanas
Dr. Erick Funcke grew up in Lima, Peru, surrounded by dogs, cats, and horses—developing a lifelong passion for animal health. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Universidad Alas Peruanas in 2001 and has been serving pets and families in Florida since 2008. Known for his compassionate approach and dedication to improving every pet’s quality of life, Dr. Funcke combines deep medical knowledge with genuine care. He lives with his wife Jennyfer, their two sons Nicholas and Sebastian, three dogs (Abby, Misty, and Chewy), and a rescue cat named Michi.


Heather Chamberlain, D.V.M.
Stetson University
Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Heather Chamberlain was born and raised in Miami, FL. She has a business degree from Stetson University (2006) and a doctorate from Midwestern University College of Veterinary Medicine (2019). When she is not practicing medicine , she enjoys traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with her family, dog and two cats.
Katia Watters, D.V.M
Dr. Waters has been passionate about animal wellness since childhood, growing up in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and spending her early years on her godparent's ranch. She earned her veterinary degree from St. Matthew's University in Grand Cayman in 2014.

Fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, Dr. Watters is dedicated to compassionate high-quality care. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her daughters, Juliette and Sienna, horseback riding, traveling and caring for her beloved pets.

Elizabeth Acosta, D.V.M
La Salle University
Dr. Acosta was born and raised in Medellin, Colombia. She graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from La Salle University in 2014. After moving to South Florida in 2015, she worked as a veterinary technician until she earned her veterinary medical license. In addition to caring for all pets at Animal Medical Center, she likes to spend her free time enjoying time with her family, her 4 cats and 1 dog.

Complementing this care is our welcoming reception team, led by Practice Manager Natasha, who serves as the heart of your first impression—ensuring you and your pet feel at ease from the moment you walk through our doors with friendly service, clear communication, and attentive support throughout your experience.
